Personal Facts:
Had a stroke at age 10 from complications due to chicken pox
Contracted the 1919/1920 Spanish flu - weakened her heart which later healed
Had a difficult delivery during 2nd childbirth- received a priesthood blessing and also made a promise to not cut her hair if she could live
Was a primary teacher for years, taught her future son-in-law, Lynn Mellor
Storyteller
Made aprons and was asked to sew them for local J.C. Penney store and Utah's Best Aprons
Apron varieties included: Cobbler Aprons, Front Aprons, Waist Aprons, Fancy Aprons (for wedding serving girls) and Men's Aprons
Also made tote bags, dish bags, and tricot pillowcases
Personally, I remember her having the best dried fruit: plums, bananas, cherries, apricots
